I heard this song for the first time around twenty when I was getting into jazz. I fell in love with it immediately and decided to transcribe with Lee Konitz’ beautifully melodic solo, (See original transcription below). This song comes from Miles’ Birth Of The Cool album which marked Miles Davis’ first departure from the “mainstream” (Be-Bop) jazz norm of the time. It’s filled gems that can spice up anyone’s chest tools of melodic ideas.
