An exciting tune that explores syncopated eighth notes motif using large intervals in the A section. In contrast, the B section is more melodic and utilizes the blues scale in combination with a syncopated 3/4 rhythm. Monk’s piano solo in this recording is a fabulous example of what can be done, with just a few notes.
