Birdlike is a great post-bop tune heavily influenced by bebop melodic vocabulary. You can hear it in the solos of each of the players from, Freddie Hubbard (also the composer), to McCoy Tyner on the piano. You can spot melodic ideas that we encountered earlier in the playlist in songs such as Little Willie Leaps by Miles Davis.
